CNC MACHINING LEAD

The CNC Machining Floor Lead is the Camtech expert Machinist. This individual is proficient in, and hands on with all facets of CNC machining. Experience in mentoring and leading a team of machinists to continual growth in our company’s machining capabilities is required of this position. This individual should be extremely competent, confident, and experienced in managing, planning, and leading. Directing a well-disciplined, process controlled, data driven, profitable, on time, clean and professional manufacturing team and facility are key aspects of this position.  Advanced skills in CNC turning and milling are required / 5 axis experience is a plus.

Job Overview

The floor lead will manage and grow the manufacturing team, foster continual improvement, and facilitate Camtech’s growth into new industries and capabilities consistent with the corporate vision.

Duties

Specific functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Protect the brand by always building quality in utilizing, maintaining, and improving AS9100 D compliant processes
  • Require and own a high standard for safety
  • Mentor and train all teammates to improve their machining capabilities by providing technical support
  • Analyze drawings, schematics, engineering notes, and/or sample parts to determine product dimensions, specifications, tolerances as well as best method and sequence of operations needed to fabricate parts
  • Work with production team to optimize fixturing, cutting, and/or machining tool selection, speeds and feeds, as well as process to take advantage of the latest technology and achieve the highest production rates.
  • Be able to advise on DFM, design for manufacturability, and work with design engineering to meet cost and performance expectations
  • Maintain a clean, professional, 5S production floor
  • Provide labor estimates for quoting
  • Industry awareness of new technologies and machining processes

Requirements

  • 5 years minimum aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Self-starter, Strong motivation, and results-oriented attitude
  • Appropriate personality for leading and mentoring.
  • Ability to anticipate/identify/analyze bottlenecks and workarounds through experience,     
  • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities under demanding circumstances
  • Ability and drive to learn and apply new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert Level of drawing interpretation and machining related math skills
  • GD&T experience and comprehension
  • Proficient in Mastercam programming from SolidWorks drawings
  • Proficient in CNC machine setup, adjustments, inspection, and operation for Turning and Machining. 
  • 5 axis mill experience is a plus
  • Proficient in tool making and fixturing
  • Proficient in Fanuc / Okuma Controls
  • Manual machining experience
  • Prototyping experience desirable
  • Familiar with ISO, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement methods
  • Preferred understanding of AS9100, SPC/SQC
  • 10+ years’ experience in CNC precision machining manufacturing
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a CNC machining leadership role requiring supervisory responsibilities

R&D Programmer Machinist

Experience:

  • 10+ Yrs of experience as CNC Mill / Lathe Machinist in Medical and Aerospace.
  • 10+ Yrs of experience NC programming in Mastercam / NCL /Catia or equivalent.
  • 10 + Yrs of experience in Aerospace component programming and manufacturing.
  • 5+ Yrs of experience in managerial role, responsible for subordinates.

Qualifications:

  • Expert Proficiency on Vertical Mills w/ A-axis Rotary Tables.
  • Expert proficiency in 5 axis.
  • Expert Proficiency in Blue Print Reading, GD&T, Inspection Tools & Methods.
  • Experience with Okuma and Fanuc Controls.
  • Experience with Aerospace materials, tolerances and quality control requirements.
  • First Piece Quality or Zero Scrap Mentality.
  • Mature, professional, safety oriented,  work demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain lean, orderly, “6s” work environment.

Salary range $35 - $50 / hour depending on experience and strategic fit.

Manufacturing Engineer/ Programmer

Position Summary:  The purpose of the Manufacturing Engineer is to develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.

Essential Functions:

  • Designs fixtures, creates support documents and programs for manufacture.
  • Manages R&D projects
  • Programs CNC machines
  • Works with QC department on creation of quality control  docs
  • Directs shop floor process of new parts; oversee creation and maintenance of Process control documents.
  • Creates documentation for standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to maintain AS9100 standards and requirements

Qualifications:
Education:   Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
Work Experience:

  • Min. 7 years in a CNC manufacturing environment Aerospace and Medical
  • Experience in AS9100 environment preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Possess  skills required if needed to set up and run first part programs

  • Proficient in CAD and CAM software;
  • Preferred  Platforms  are Solid works for CAD, and Mastercam or NCL for CAM
  • 5 axis Machining and programming experience.
  • Experience in and not limited to Inconel, titanium, hardened steels, Aerospace cast and forged components.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems, tolerances, and drawing interpretation
  • R&D experience preferred
  • Moderate oral and written communication skills; ability to read work instructions and documents
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced Math skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems required
  • The ability to follow instructions and procedures, including all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to work occasional overtime

CNC Lathe Machinist

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in precision CNC machining.
  • 5 Years minimum Experience in Machining Aerospace components.
  • 5 Years’ experience working with Aerospace material’s ( Titanium / Inconel ).

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with tolerances of +- .0001.
  • Ability to Setup CNC Lathes using Fanuc and Okuma Controls.
  • Ability to read blueprints, and understand and apply geometric tolerance notations.
  • Must work independently with little supervision, and have ability to work well with others.
  • Must have good verbal / written communication skills.
  • Must exercise a very high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to accept a flexible schedule (some overtime and occasional shift changes).
  • Experience with Planning/Scheduling using an ERP System.
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO.
This is an A Class position.

CNC Mill Machinist

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in precision CNC machining.
